California Privacy Notice
Last updated June 27, 2026
This serves as our Notice at Collection and our California Privacy Notice. It describes the categories of personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we share it, and the rights California residents have.
1. Personal information we collect
In the past 12 months we have collected the following categories of personal information (as defined by the CCPA/CPRA):
| Category | Examples | Collected |
|---|---|---|
| Identifiers | Name, email, phone, account ID, IP address | Yes |
| Customer records | Contact details you provide in inquiries and profiles | Yes |
| Commercial information | Inquiries, requests, and interactions with courses, creators, and leagues | Yes |
| Internet/network activity | Pages viewed, sign-in times, interactions with the Services | Yes |
| Geolocation (approximate) | City you provide; general location inferred from IP | Yes |
| Audio/visual | Images or media you upload | Yes |
| Professional information | Creator handle, category, follower counts, platforms | Yes |
| Inferences | Preferences inferred from your activity (for example, areas or course types of interest) | Limited |
| Sensitive personal information | Account login credentials (password is stored only as a hash) | Limited |
We do not collect Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, financial account numbers, precise geolocation, biometric information, or information about race, religion, health, sexual orientation, or union membership.
2. Sources
We collect this information directly from you (when you create an account, build a profile, or submit an inquiry), automatically from your use of the Services, and from our service providers that operate the Services on our behalf.
3. Why we collect and use it
We use personal information for the business purposes described in our Privacy Policy, including to operate the Services, route your inquiries to the relevant course, creator, or league, manage your account, secure and improve the Services, respond to you, and comply with law.
4. How we disclose it
We disclose personal information to:
- Courses, creators, and league organizers you submit an inquiry to, so they can respond to you.
- Service providers who host and operate the Services for us under contractual privacy obligations.
- Others as required by law or in connection with a business transfer.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not "sell" or "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA. Because routing your inquiry to a course or organizer could be viewed as "sharing", you may opt out at Your Privacy Choices. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.
5. Retention
We keep each category of personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed for the purposes described above, then for a reasonable period to meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements, after which we delete or de-identify it.
6. Your California rights
If you're a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know / Access: request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we've collected about you.
- Delete: request that we delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions.
- Correct: request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out: opt out of any "selling" or "sharing" of your personal information.
- Limit: limit the use of sensitive personal information (we use it only as needed to provide the Services).
- Non-discrimination: we won't discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
7. How to exercise your rights
You can exercise your rights in two ways:
- Online through Your Privacy Choices, where signed-in users can access, export, or delete their data directly, and anyone can submit a request.
